"The Faith of a 13 Year Old Girl" - Christmas Eve Sermon

I am still trying to get some things up on the blog from a couple months ago. One of those is the sermon I gave on Christmas Eve. The title is "The Faith of a 13 Year Old Girl" and it focuses on the announcement that the angel Gabriel gave to young Mary.

I have four daughters aged 10 to 17 so I'm somewhat of an expert on teenage girls :)

The whole talk is about 22 minutes long if you want to know in advance. Hope you enjoy it. I enjoyed giving it.

Ouch. Dislocated Shoulder.

Ok... Warning... this has nothing to do with the Arabian Peninsula.

I hurt my shoulder this past year and it's still giving me problems. The women's basketball team from the University of Tennessee is down to the final four in the college basketball championship in the US. I went to the University of Tennessee.

Their star player, Candace Parker just dislocated her shoulder in a game. Ouch. I feel her pain.

A Visit from Stuart Briscoe; Noted Evangelical Teacher/Preacher

A couple months ago we had the privilege of hosting in our home a small gathering of youth and University students from the church for a meeting with noted Bible teacher and preacher Stuart Briscoe.

It was a wonderful time as Dr. Briscoe shared from his experience three important principles of Christian leadership. They are:

1. A Christian leader leads people into God's will for their lives.
2. A Christian leader treats people like they are made in the image of God.
3. A Christian leader displays an increasing amount of Godliness in their life.
